​Volunteer 

It isn’t just donations which allow us to continue to rescue and rehome animals in need. We could never do what we do without our amazing team of dedicated volunteers, who give their time to help our animals.

We are always looking passionate, kind-hearted animal lovers to join our friendly family of volunteers. Could you donate some of your time and make a difference to our animals’ lives?

​

How about spending the occasional hour or two helping out at our kennels in Buntingford (Hertfordshire)? Our doggies always love being taken for walks but most importantly, the comfort of human company is what they crave the most. Just spending some time with them in their kennels or in our exercise field makes such a difference to their days, and playing a part in the training and rehabilitation of our more nervous residents can be so rewarding.

 

We are also always in desperate need of handymen and handywomen who can help out with the never-ending maintenance of the kennels. If you’re a mean machine with a mower, or a dab hand at fixing fences, we need you!

We are also always on the lookout for fabulous fosterers for our dogs, cats and small mammals. Fostering is usually short term (from as little as just a night or two to a few weeks) but long term care (for several months) with specialist fosterers is sometimes also required. We never know who will be arriving on our doorstep from one day to the next, so our foster team needs to be ready and waiting for our new arrivals, and whatever emotional baggage they may be bringing with them.

Or are you a brilliant event organiser? We run fundraising events throughout the year and we would love to build a strong and dynamic team of volunteers to ensure their maximum success. Even if you can only spare a few hours to man one of our stalls, your time would be very much appreciated.

​

If you live in the Biggleswade area, how about helping out at our charity shop? Even just a few hours a week would be a huge help, and you’d be part of a lovely team.
