Re-home with us

Do you need to re-home your pet?

We completely understand that there are many different reasons why people may need to sadly part ways with their pets. Perhaps your circumstances have changed recently, or you're struggling to cope. Please rest assured that we are always compassionate and never judgemental. We are always more than happy to provide advice and help you to understand your options.

As well as our kennels in Buntingford, we have a specialist cattery in Bedfordshire and several fabulous foster homes for dogs, cats and small mammals.

Although we do not charge a “fixed fee” when you give up your pet, we do normally ask for a discretionary donation to help us continue to support people like yourselves and their pets.  After all, “every little” really does help.

Adopting one of our animals

If you're looking to welcome a four-legged friend into your family, we'd love for the lucky animal to be one of our own! Our web site is updated regularly with information about animals in our care who are available to adopt, so please check back regularly or follow our Facebook or Instagram pages to stay in the loop.

Although we welcome spontaneous enquiries from potential adopters without a specific animal in mind and we can keep your details on file, we unfortunately can't 100% guarantee that you will be contacted in the event that your purr-fect match arrives into our care. So please do keep an eye out and get in touch if you think that you might be able to offer a loving home to one of our available animals.

If you enquire about one of our animals and we think that your home and circumstances might be ideal for them, we will arrange a call to have a chat and get to know you a little better. We will then arrange for you to meet your potential new pet, either at our kennels or cattery or at the foster home. Depending on the animal, several visits may be required for you both to start to form a bond and work out whether you would eventually like to live with each other.

We will also need to perform a home check to make sure that your new furry family member will be safe and comfortable. Upon completion of your home check, we will then arrange for you to officially adopt your pet, and you will be provided with lots of useful tips and resources to help you along the way. We will help and support you throughout the rest of your adoptee's life, and we will endeavour to always be there for you both if you need us.
