Remembering the pets we have loved and lost this Christmas

For the first time ever this year, we have our very own Christmas tree at our kennels in Buntingford!

Our four-legged residents are so excited about the glistening lights and sweet scent of pine, but our special tree isn't just for them.

We invite you to dedicate a light on our tree, not only to help us to care for our animals who are looking for their furever homes this Christmas, but also to remember and honour your lost pets and loved ones.

Our pets are such huge parts of our families, and saying goodbye when they leave us for the Rainbow Bridge is beyond heart-breaking. They leave paw prints on our hearts and a huge hole in our lives. But we'd love for you to remember the precious moments you spent together, and the love and happiness they brought to your life.

To dedicate a light to your dearly departed shining star, simply make a donation (however small- every penny always counts!) via Givey, Paypal or Wonderful and if you'd like to, please leave a message of love alongside your donation and we'll publish it on this page. Your dedication can also be sent to us at marketing@rats-animalrescue.co.uk. We'd really love to hear your treasured memories and if you'd like us to include a photo too, please send it to us by e-mail and we'll make sure it is featured in our gallery of remembrance.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you, as always, for your support and we hope that the lights on our Christmas Tree of Treasured Memories will bring comfort during a time when we are missing our lost loved ones more than ever.

I rescued my fur baby "Lady" from you. She was my world, we spent 10 pawsom years together. She was ball obsessed and loved to be under a blanket. I'm so glad I had so many wonderful years with her. She passed away 2 years ago now, and not a day goes by when I dont think about her and miss her. Thank you for everything you do as a charity. Merry Christmas, Sarah.
