A Gentle Giant, Ready for His Happy Ever After 💖🤗
Gorgeous Ipman has travelled a long way to find us – arriving in our care from a rescue in Cyprus. He’s around a year old and whilst we are not entirely certain of his breed, we think he’s some sort of Shepherd-type cross.
From the moment he arrived Ipman’s tail has not stopped wagging and he is the most gentle, affectionate and friendly boy who loves everybody he meets. He really does fit the definition of a ‘gentle giant’ perfectly: it can be difficult to tell from his photos, but he really is a very big lad! Ipman hasn’t experienced proper walks yet, but he trots along beautifully when he’s taken out to the field to stretch his legs.
It is likely that everything about family life will be new to Ipman, so we are looking for an owner with patience, consistency and a good understanding of life with a large, powerful dog. He’s likely to need housetraining and some gentle guidance as he learns the ropes of being a family pet for the very first time.
We think that Ipman will be well suited to a home with older children who can take his size in their stride. He’s shown no signs of reactivity to other dogs, so he may be able to share his new home with a canine companion – ideally a female - subject to careful introductions at our kennels in Buntingford.

ADOPTION PROCESS
We have a number of animals in our care. Most are homeless through no fault of their own and are looking for furever homes and owners who can give them the love and attention they deserve.
Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with our adoption process:
Step 1:
The animal is admitted into our care, and assessed by our team.

Step 2:
The animal is examined by a vet, who treats any ailments or injuries.

Step 3:
The appropriate team leader will liaise with the potential adopter to get to know them and assess whether they are a potential purr-fect match.

Step 4:
The potential new owners meet the animal, and decide if they want to adopt. New owners may be asked to visit the animal several times before the adoption takes place.
​
Step 5:
A pre-adoption home visit will then be made to new owners home to meet the members of the household and to ensure that the environment is safe.

Step 6:
If the visit goes well, you will be asked to collect the animal and to make an adoption donation (amount on request) as well as to sign an agreement to care for the pet with a commitment to return them to us if you can't continue to do so.
