About the event

On Monday 23 December, MasterChef Champion Dhruv Baker will be at our kennels in Buntingford, to serve up a Christmas five-star feast for the RATS rescue dogs!

Dhruv is generously donating his time and culinary expertise to create a one-of-a-kind menu for the dogs, bringing his signature flair to every dish, and for just £5 you can buy one of our precious dogs their Christmas dinner of dreams, a stocking of snacks and a delicious pudding!

As a self-funded charity, we’ve had a very expensive year (our last vet bill alone was over £6k), and we are feeling the strain of the current rescue crisis, which has left shelters overwhelmed with unwanted and abandoned pets. To keep providing love, care, and protection at our current pace, we urgently need all the help we can get. Please support us if you can - 100% of your donation will go directly to RATS, helping provide animals in need with food, warmth, care, and the chance for a brighter future.

A message from Dhruv: "I love the work that RATS are doing, and it means so much to be able to help them in any way I can. The key priority is to get these wonderful animals to their forever homes, where they will be safe and loved. At this time of year, as we think about giving and kindness, we have a chance to do something truly meaningful for these lovely animals by raising critically important funds to cover essential vet bills and help fund the amazing work RATS are doing.

"A little will go a long way and while we’ll have some fun cooking them a delicious Christmas lunch, the serious focus is on securing much-needed donations to provide the urgent and life-saving treatment they often need when coming into care. We understand how tight and difficult things are for many right now, but if you can spare anything to help these beautiful and loving animals we would be immensely grateful. Thank you and wishing you a peaceful and wonderful Christmas!"

We know that at this time of year pennies can be hard to come by so we are grateful for whatever you can spare, or if you’re unable to donate, please share our link to help raise awareness. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
