Dog Show

Join us on Saturday 11 May for our pedigree and novelty dog shows! All proceeds from dog show entry fees and RATS stalls will go directly to helping animals in our care.

Class details:

Registration opens at 10am for all classes

Pedigree classes start at 11.30am

Novelty classes start at 12.30pm

Rosettes - 1st to 6th place. Trophies for Best In Show and Reserve. All classes are £2 to enter.

Pedigree classes: Puppy 6-12 Months, Gundogs, Working and Pastoral, Toys and Terriers, Hounds and Utility, Best In Show and Reserve Best In Show

Novelty classes: Best Crossbreed, Best Rescue, Best Condition, Best Dog, Best Bitch, Best Veteran, Most Appealing Eyes, Best Trick, Waggiest Tail, Best Dog (judge would like to take home), Best Novelty In Show, Reserve Best In Show.

There will also be:

·  Free parking

·  A range of stalls

·  Have-a-go agility

·  Refreshments (hot and cold drinks, cakes, sausage rolls and sandwiches)

·  Water bowls and paddling pools

·  Animal desks

·  Shade/shelter

Come along and see our very special guest, Rex, who we rescued from the brink of death last year. He and his owner Becky, who nursed him through his darkest days, will be our guests of honour. Rex is a wonderful example of what rescue is all about; come and see his amazing transformation.

As part of our anniversary celebrations, we have stalls and an extra ring this year with Have-a-Go Agility run by Jack's Dog Behaviour and Training, so there’ll be lots of fun things for you and your dogs to enjoy whilst you await your classes. Our Kennels stall will have details of all the current RATS animals available for adoption and no less than three raffles for a choice of doggie hamper to suit small, medium and large dogs.

Our wonderful team of stalwart volunteers will be selling refreshments to ensure you all stay hydrated. Homemade cakes, sausage rolls and sandwiches will also be on sale.

The weather...is looking perfect! After some tricky weather recently, we are excited to see that the temperature looks good and will hopefully be a dry day too!
