Meet Echo!

Brains, Beauty and a Whole Lot of Love 💖🐾

Darling Echo was less than 12 weeks old when she came into our care, and she has already had more upheaval than any little puppy should. She had found her home with a lovely family who adored her, but sadly one of them was badly allergic. They were heartbroken to say goodbye so soon, but we have promised them we will do everything we can to find her a loving family of her own.

As puppies don’t do too well in kennels, Echo is being cared for in a loving foster home, where she is doing really well. Her foster family describe her as incredibly sweet, affectionate and clever; a little girl who simply loves being close to people. She has a lovely nature and is proving herself to be the most wonderful little companion.

Echo is a Collie Cross, so we weren’t at all surprised to hear that she is a very quick learner.

She soaks up new things in no time, and we know she will be a joy to train. But with a collie brain, comes a collie’s need to be busy, so she will need a family who will rise to the challenge. She will need an energetic family who will commit to her training from the start and make sure she has enough to do to keep her clever brain working. Collies love to be busy, so an activity like flyball or agility would be perfect for her.

Echo can certainly share her new home with children and with another dog. She can also potentially live with cats, but as she is a lively puppy, a dog savvy cat who has lived with a dog previously would be best.

Do you have the time and the energy to give this gorgeous puppy the busy, loving home she is looking for. If you do, then please get in touch – but please move quickly as we’re sure she’s going to be inundated with admirers!

ADOPTION PROCESS

We have a number of animals in our care. Most are homeless through no fault of their own and are looking for furever homes and owners who can give them the love and attention they deserve.

Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with our adoption process:

Step 1:

The animal is admitted into our care, and assessed by our team.

Step 2:

The animal is examined by a vet, who treats any ailments or injuries.

Step 3:

The appropriate team leader will liaise with the potential adopter to get to know them and assess whether they are a potential purr-fect match.

Step 4:

The potential new owners meet the animal, and decide if they want to adopt. New owners may be asked to visit the animal several times before the adoption takes place.

Step 5:

A pre-adoption home visit will then be made to new owners home to meet the members of the household and to ensure that the environment is safe.

Step 6:

If the visit goes well, you will be asked to collect the animal and to make an adoption donation (amount on request) as well as to sign an agreement to care for the pet with a commitment to return them to us if you can't continue to do so.
