Meet Tip!
Grey-Faced and Golden-Hearted – Tip is looking for his Final Chapter 🤗🐾

Tip, the most beautiful Border Collie, came into our care recently as his owner is sadly in ill-health and unable to care for him anymore. Tip, who is 14 years old, had been totally loved in his previous home, so we are committed to finding him a loving retirement home.

Although Tip is a senior gentleman, don’t let his age fool you! He is very sprightly and his favourite thing in the world is a game of ball in the field. Tip is partially sighted, but as long as the ball isn’t thrown too far he will happily go and retrieve it and we think he would play ball all day given the chance. He also loves a gentle stroll – a chance to stretch his legs, feel the grass beneath his paws, and have a thorough sniff of everything.

What Tip needs is peace, comfort and lots of love. We are looking to find him a quiet, adult-only, retirement home where life moves at a gentle pace. He is good with other dogs, although a calm canine companion would suit him best. Tip is untested with cats and small furries, but given that his eyesight isn’t what it was, we think he’d likely be perfectly content to live alongside smaller pets.

Can you offer this gorgeous, gentle boy a quiet retirement home? All he is looking for is a comfy bed, a few tennis balls, some gentle walks and someone to curl up with at the end of the day. Somewhere out there is a sofa with Tip’s name on it – can you help us find it?

ADOPTION PROCESS

We have a number of animals in our care. Most are homeless through no fault of their own and are looking for furever homes and owners who can give them the love and attention they deserve.

Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with our adoption process:

Step 1:

The animal is admitted into our care, and assessed by our team.

Step 2:

The animal is examined by a vet, who treats any ailments or injuries.

Step 3:

The appropriate team leader will liaise with the potential adopter to get to know them and assess whether they are a potential purr-fect match.

Step 4:

The potential new owners meet the animal, and decide if they want to adopt. New owners may be asked to visit the animal several times before the adoption takes place.

Step 5:

A pre-adoption home visit will then be made to new owners home to meet the members of the household and to ensure that the environment is safe.

Step 6:

If the visit goes well, you will be asked to collect the animal and to make an adoption donation (amount on request) as well as to sign an agreement to care for the pet with a commitment to return them to us if you can't continue to do so.
