Meet Rosy!
Rosy is a beautiful grey short-haired senior girl looking for a calm and loving retirement home where she can enjoy life at her own pace.
She's a lovely little character who enjoys human company and likes being close to her people, even if she's not a full time lap cat. Once she knows and trusts you, she loves chin scratches, gentle fuss and cosy companionship. Rosy is also quite chatty and isn't shy about asking for attention - she'll often tap you with her paw is she thinks you should be focusing on her instead.
Like many older cats, Rosy has her moments of being a little bit grumbly but it's mostly just noise and personality rather than anything serious. Her foster carer has found her to be a sweet, affectionate and characterful companion who simply likes things on her own terms.
Rosy would need to be the only pet in the home and would be happiest in a quiet, adult-only home without too much noise or bustle around her.
Since coming to foster care in February 2026, Rosy has had quite a troublesome tummy and has had lots of investigations, blood tests and vet visits. Thankfully, anything serious has been ruled out and it now seems she has food intolerance, particularly to dry food She is doing much better on a wet food only diet with small, frequent meals formulated for sensitive digestion and her foster carer will be happy too recommend the foods that have suited her best.
Rosy also has a touch or arthritis which is managed with a monthly Solensia injection to help keep her comfortable. Blood tests also showed that she was low in vitamin B12, so she currently has half a capsule of Cobalaplex mixed in to her food each day.
Rosy may not be a carefree young kitten anymore, but she still has so much love, companionship and personality to offer the right person. We would dearly love to find her a special forever home where she can finally settle, feel safe and spend her golden years being loved exactly as she deserves.
If you feel you have the time and patience to give this sweet little girl the chance of having a happy home again, please get in touch by emailing info@rats-animalrescue.co.uk who will be pleased to pass your enquiry on to the team.

ADOPTION PROCESS
We have a number of animals in our care. Most are homeless through no fault of their own and are looking for furever homes and owners who can give them the love and attention they deserve.
Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with our adoption process:
Step 1:
The animal is admitted into our care, and assessed by our team.
Step 2:
The animal is examined by a vet, who treats any ailments or injuries.
Step 3:
The appropriate team leader will liaise with the potential adopter to get to know them and assess whether they are a potential purr-fect match.
Step 4:
The potential new owners meet the animal, and decide if they want to adopt. New owners may be asked to visit the animal several times before the adoption takes place.
Step 5:
A pre-adoption home visit will then be made to new owners home to meet the members of the household and to ensure that the environment is safe.
Step 6:
If the visit goes well, you will be asked to collect the animal and to make an adoption donation (amount on request) as well as to sign an agreement to care for the pet with a commitment to return them to us if you can't continue to do so.
