Reggie
Age:  3 Years Old
Breed: French Bulldog
Size:  Small
Gender: Male

Meet Reggie!

Reggie, the most affectionate little French Bulldog, recently came into our care as a stray. We don’t know his exact age, but we estimate that he is around three years old.

This gorgeous little man just loves people and all he wants is to be where people are. His favourite time is when the volunteers gather for a couple of tea. Tea breaks mean laps to sit on, faces to lick and treats to beg for – Reggie has got this whole routine down to a fine art!!

Reggie is great with other dogs and he is happy to be paired up with a canine friend at the kennels. He will patiently tolerate a full on game, even it involves him being pulled about. We are therefore certain that he could share his new home with another dog, but he’ll also be equally happy as an only dog as that will mean he will get all of the attention to himself.

In the recent hot spell, Reggie discovered the paddling pool and decided it was, in fact, the greatest invention ever known to dog! He was also a really good boy when he had a bath to make him feel a bit more comfortable. Now that the weather is cooler, he’s been enjoying his walks. Nothing too strenuous for our Reggie – a peaceful trot, a few sniffs and then back to the sofa for more cuddles.

Reggie would make a perfect companion dog for a family who are looking for some gentle walks, cuddles on the sofa and a cute little shadow who will never leave their side. Reggie can certainly share his new home with children over the age of five.

Are you ready to welcome this gentle, loving little dog into your family. If so please get in touch.

ADOPTION PROCESS

We have a number of animals in our care. Most are homeless through no fault of their own and are looking for furever homes and owners who can give them the love and attention they deserve.

Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with our adoption process:

Step 1:

The animal is admitted into our care, and assessed by our team.

Step 2:

The animal is examined by a vet, who treats any ailments or injuries.

Step 3:

The appropriate team leader will liaise with the potential adopter to get to know them and assess whether they are a potential purr-fect match.

Step 4:

The potential new owners meet the animal, and decide if they want to adopt. New owners may be asked to visit the animal several times before the adoption takes place.

Step 5:

A pre-adoption home visit will then be made to new owners home to meet the members of the household and to ensure that the environment is safe.

Step 6:

If the visit goes well, you will be asked to collect the animal and to make an adoption donation (amount on request) as well as to sign an agreement to care for the pet with a commitment to return them to us if you can't continue to do so.
