As a volunteer-led charity, we are completely dependent on the kindness of our friends and supporters, who generously donate their time to help our beloved animals.

Join the RATS Events Team

Due to the pandemic, we have sadly been unable to run our famous dog shows and open days for almost two years. Once restrictions are fully lifted and “normality” resumes, we’ve got lots of fundraising to catch up on to ensure that we can continue to rescue and rehome our beloved animals. And we want to make sure that our events are even bigger and better than ever next year and beyond!

If you have a flair for fundraising and you enjoy organising events to raise money for a worthy cause, we need you! We are looking to put together an awesome team of fabulous, passionate people to brainstorm, organise and run RATS events throughout the year, and ensure that they are always run safely and responsibly. No matter how weird and whacky your ideas might be, trust us, we’ll love them! Even if you don’t have particular experience in this field, if you’re up for a challenge and you love animals like we do, we’d absolutely love to have you on board.

Help out at our Charity Shop

The income from our shop in Biggleswade is absolutely vital to the survival of our charity, and we rely solely on volunteers to be open for business as much as possible. If you live locally, how about spending a morning or afternoon (or both!) helping us out once or twice a week? It’s a great way to meet friendly, like-minded people and show your support for RATS and the work that we do.
