Meet Penny!
This Sweet Soul Deserves a Sofa to Call Her Own 💖🐾

Penny is a five year old French Bulldog who came into our care as a stray just after Christmas. We cannot believe that she ended up as a stray as she is the most affectionate girl who will literally flop over onto her back for a tummy rub the second anyone glances her way. She is quite a small Frenchie with the most beautiful markings and fabulous little tan eyebrows!

We have introduced Penny to other dogs at the kennels and she is also living with two other dogs in her foster home. She is a little nervous around other dogs initially, but with patience and proper introductions, she blossoms into a confident companion. We are sure that she can live with another similar sized dog, subject to careful introductions at our kennels in Buntingford.

Although she enjoys her walks, what this little cuddle monster is really looking for is her person. She will be such a devoted shadow, following you from room to room, always ready to curl up next to you on the sofa. As she is such a friendly girl she can certainly share her new home with children.

Do you have the space in your heart for this wonderful girl; all you need is time for snuggles and a sofa with Penny’s name on it.

ADOPTION PROCESS

We have a number of animals in our care. Most are homeless through no fault of their own and are looking for furever homes and owners who can give them the love and attention they deserve.

Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with our adoption process:

Step 1:

The animal is admitted into our care, and assessed by our team.

Step 2:

The animal is examined by a vet, who treats any ailments or injuries.

Step 3:

The appropriate team leader will liaise with the potential adopter to get to know them and assess whether they are a potential purr-fect match.

Step 4:

The potential new owners meet the animal, and decide if they want to adopt. New owners may be asked to visit the animal several times before the adoption takes place.

Step 5:

A pre-adoption home visit will then be made to new owners home to meet the members of the household and to ensure that the environment is safe.

Step 6:

If the visit goes well, you will be asked to collect the animal and to make an adoption donation (amount on request) as well as to sign an agreement to care for the pet with a commitment to return them to us if you can't continue to do so.
