Meet Isla!
A Gentle Soul Seeking Her Forever Haven
Isla, a stunning six year old Inuit Dog, is sadly looking for a new home due to her owner’s long-term illness. Typical of all Northern breeds, Isla is fiercely loyal and wonderfully intelligent.
Inuit Dogs have strong working instincts, so we are looking for a new owner who has an active lifestyle and preferably experience of Inuit Dogs or similar breeds, such as Huskies and Malamutes. She needs daily physical exercise and mental stimulation to keep her fit and happy.
Isla does suffer from separation anxiety, so we are looking for someone with the time and patience to make her feel safe. With consistency, routine and an owner who is at home most of the time (especially at first), Isla will blossom. Isla loves company and at home she is a calm girl with a gentle temperament. Although she is good around children, we feel that she would do best in a calm, adult only home, which will give her a quiet, low stress environment where she can thrive.
Whilst she is generally friendly with other dogs when out and about, we feel that Isla would be better as the only dog in her new home. She also has quite a strong prey drive so she will be unable to live with cats or small mammals.
Do you have the time, experience and heart to give Isla the second chance she so deserves? If so, please get in touch.

ADOPTION PROCESS
We have a number of animals in our care. Most are homeless through no fault of their own and are looking for furever homes and owners who can give them the love and attention they deserve.
Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with our adoption process:
Step 1:
The animal is admitted into our care, and assessed by our team.
Step 2:
The animal is examined by a vet, who treats any ailments or injuries.
Step 3:
The appropriate team leader will liaise with the potential adopter to get to know them and assess whether they are a potential purr-fect match.
Step 4:
The potential new owners meet the animal, and decide if they want to adopt. New owners may be asked to visit the animal several times before the adoption takes place.
Step 5:
A pre-adoption home visit will then be made to new owners home to meet the members of the household and to ensure that the environment is safe.
Step 6:
If the visit goes well, you will be asked to collect the animal and to make an adoption donation (amount on request) as well as to sign an agreement to care for the pet with a commitment to return them to us if you can't continue to do so.
