Meet Fleur!
Beautiful Fleur is a 14 year old female that needs a very special person in her life. We believe she once had a home as a thorough vet check shows her to be in excellent health, however a year ago she turned up at an industrial estate and joined a small colony of cats. Luckily there was a feeder who looked out for her. Her time outside has put her into ‘survival’ mode and she is now naturally a bit fearful of humans.
She was starting to trust when caught but being confined, and taken to the vets for a health check recently, has set her back a little so she will need confident and experienced owners who will give her the space and time she needs to decompress and trust again.
We truly believe that this lovely older girl still has love to give and she certainly deserves somewhere special for her twilight years.
Fleur is neutered, chipped, parasite treated and vaccinated. She had a health check and her bloods ran and she is in good health and all clear. We think she would prefer to be the only cat in an adult only home but she may be ok with older children.
If you are looking for a feline companion, Fleur could be the cat for you.
If so, please email info@rats- animalrescue.co.uk who will be pleased to forward your enquiry on to the team.

ADOPTION PROCESS
We have a number of animals in our care. Most are homeless through no fault of their own and are looking for furever homes and owners who can give them the love and attention they deserve.
Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with our adoption process:
Step 1:
The animal is admitted into our care, and assessed by our team.
Step 2:
The animal is examined by a vet, who treats any ailments or injuries.
Step 3:
The appropriate team leader will liaise with the potential adopter to get to know them and assess whether they are a potential purr-fect match.
Step 4:
The potential new owners meet the animal, and decide if they want to adopt. New owners may be asked to visit the animal several times before the adoption takes place.
Step 5:
A pre-adoption home visit will then be made to new owners home to meet the members of the household and to ensure that the environment is safe.
Step 6:
If the visit goes well, you will be asked to collect the animal and to make an adoption donation (amount on request) as well as to sign an agreement to care for the pet with a commitment to return them to us if you can't continue to do so.
