Meet Little Man!

A new home is needed for Little Man the staffy

At 14 years old, Little Man’s elderly owner sadly passed away, and he has now found himself homeless.

He’s a lovely, gentle staffy with an endless amount of love to give. Although he’s an old boy, he still has a zest for life and he’s happy to go for short, sniffy walks. What he wants more than anything though, is a cosy sofa and a kind-hearted owner to snuggle up to. He loves being around people, and a quiet retirement home filled with love and fuss would be ideal for him.

Little Man doesn’t mind the company of other dogs and he’d be happy to share his home with a fellow canine as long as they’re calm and give him plenty of space. He isn’t cat-friendly and due to his age and need for peace and quiet, we are looking for an adult-only home.

No dog should ever find themselves homeless but it’s particularly heart-breaking for older dogs like Little Man. We’d love him to find his final home quickly so that he can settle and enjoy however long he has left.

ADOPTION PROCESS

We have a number of animals in our care. Most are homeless through no fault of their own and are looking for furever homes and owners who can give them the love and attention they deserve.

Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with our adoption process:

Step 1:

The animal is admitted into our care, and assessed by our team.

Step 2:

The animal is examined by a vet, who treats any ailments or injuries.

Step 3:

The appropriate team leader will liaise with the potential adopter to get to know them and assess whether they are a potential purr-fect match.

Step 4:

The potential new owners meet the animal, and decide if they want to adopt. New owners may be asked to visit the animal several times before the adoption takes place.

Step 5:

A pre-adoption home visit will then be made to new owners home to meet the members of the household and to ensure that the environment is safe.

Step 6:

If the visit goes well, you will be asked to collect the animal and to make an adoption donation (amount on request) as well as to sign an agreement to care for the pet with a commitment to return them to us if you can't continue to do so.
