Meet Dizzy!

Beautiful Dizzy came into our care as a stray. We’re looking for the most loving of forever homes her, so she’ll never have to brave the scary outside world on her own again.

We believe that Dizzy is around a year old, and she’s an absolute darling. Incredibly affectionate, she loves nothing more than to be around people. She’s happiest when she is keeping our volunteers company in the kitchen on their tea breaks after having spent the morning zooming around the field with her friends.

Dizzy has shown some signs of separation anxiety, so she will need to be introduced gradually to being left alone in her new home. Her devotion to her people means that she can become anxious when she is left but the company of another dog may help to soothe her worries.

A typical Lurcher, she enjoys long walks and plenty of play time but once she has expended all of that youthful energy, she’s happy vegging out on the sofa for hours on end, snuggled up and cosy.

Dizzy would very much like to share her home with another dog but she isn’t able to live with cats. She’d also enjoy the company of older children (over 10 years old).

Can you turn Dizzy’s traumatic start to life into a thing of the past, and offer her a happy future? Please get in touch!

ADOPTION PROCESS

We have a number of animals in our care. Most are homeless through no fault of their own and are looking for furever homes and owners who can give them the love and attention they deserve.

Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with our adoption process:

Step 1:

The animal is admitted into our care, and assessed by our team.

Step 2:

The animal is examined by a vet, who treats any ailments or injuries.

Step 3:

The appropriate team leader will liaise with the potential adopter to get to know them and assess whether they are a potential purr-fect match.

Step 4:

The potential new owners meet the animal, and decide if they want to adopt. New owners may be asked to visit the animal several times before the adoption takes place.

Step 5:

A pre-adoption home visit will then be made to new owners home to meet the members of the household and to ensure that the environment is safe.

Step 6:

If the visit goes well, you will be asked to collect the animal and to make an adoption donation (amount on request) as well as to sign an agreement to care for the pet with a commitment to return them to us if you can't continue to do so.
