Meet Ash

We are looking for an experienced and committed forever home for Ash, an unwanted Cane Corso X Presa Canario.

Born in October 2023, he is still a pup and unfortunately hasn’t had a lot of training, so his new family will need lots of compassion and patience. He is a big, bouncy boy, so we are also looking for a physically strong owner.

Someone with breed experience is essential and ideally you would live within relatively easy driving distance of our kennels in Buntingford, as we will be providing you with some initial behavioural and training support.

Ash's training needs mustn't be taken lightly, and his new family will need to work hard to make sure that he is given the very best chance of a happy, fulfilled and successful future. Continuous training will be required and you will need to formally agree to take him to classes.

However, your hard work will be rewarded in spades. Ash is a friendly, loving and affectionate lad, who is eager to learn and please. He promises to be the most wonderful companion and he is able to live with other dogs of a similar breed and size. Due to his sheer size and bounciness, we are looking for an adult-only home. Ash has not lived with cats or small animals before.

Would you relish the chance of working with Ash, bringing him up to be the well-mannered and happy dog that he truly deserves to be? Please get in touch!

We have a number of animals in our care. Most are homeless through no fault of their own and are looking for furever homes and owners who can give them the love and attention they deserve.

Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with our adoption process:

Step 1:

The animal is admitted into our care, and assessed by our team.

Step 2:

The animal is examined by a vet, who treats any ailments or injuries.

Step 3:

The appropriate team leader will liaise with the potential adopter to get to know them and assess whether they are a potential purr-fect match.

Step 4:

The potential new owners meet the animal, and decide if they want to adopt. New owners may be asked to visit the animal several times before the adoption takes place.

Step 5:

A pre-adoption home visit will then be made to new owners home to meet the members of the household and to ensure that the environment is safe.

Step 6:

If the visit goes well, you will be asked to collect the animal and to make an adoption donation (amount on request) as well as to sign an agreement to care for the pet with a commitment to return them to us if you can't continue to do so.
