Bluey
Age: 18 Months
Breed: May Have Some Snowshoe
Gender: Male

Meet Bluey!
Meet Bluey, a lovely 18 month old boy looking for his forever home.
Bluey has been with us for the past eight weeks and has had a bit of a journey.
He came from a very difficult home life where he wasn’t very well looked after and was under-socialised. Since being with us he’s been neutered, fully vaccinated and parasite treated.
Bluey did have a bit of a sensitive tummy recently so he needs owners who can keep up a high quality hypoallergenic diet for him.
We think Bluey may have some of the breed Snowshoe in him as he is a very clever boy who can open his foster rooms door. He’s very playful and can jump really high so needs lots of stimulation and play.
He doesn’t like being closed in at night and would prefer to be near his humans. He’s good with other cats and wants to play with them so if you have a friendly young cat we think he would really enjoy that. We think small children might be too much for Bluey but older children who understand cats will be fine.
He hasn’t had outside access but he is curious and with careful introductions we think he would enjoy some outside time.
Bluey is a special soul and given his start he can be a bit timid and hide so he’s not quite a lap cat yet but we think with experienced owners, a safe home and lots of encouragement he will really blossom. He’s already come on so much in his foster home and his foster is very fond of him.
He’s got a big frame and is 4kg but we think he might grow a bit bigger as he was underfed previously.
If you’re interested in adopting Bluey please get in touch, please get in touch by email to info@rats-animalrescue.co.uk who will be pleased to forward your enquiry on to the team.

ADOPTION PROCESS
We have a number of animals in our care. Most are homeless through no fault of their own and are looking for furever homes and owners who can give them the love and attention they deserve.
Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with our adoption process:
Step 1:
The animal is admitted into our care, and assessed by our team.
Step 2:
The animal is examined by a vet, who treats any ailments or injuries.
Step 3:
The appropriate team leader will liaise with the potential adopter to get to know them and assess whether they are a potential purr-fect match.
Step 4:
The potential new owners meet the animal, and decide if they want to adopt. New owners may be asked to visit the animal several times before the adoption takes place.
Step 5:
A pre-adoption home visit will then be made to new owners home to meet the members of the household and to ensure that the environment is safe.
Step 6:
If the visit goes well, you will be asked to collect the animal and to make an adoption donation (amount on request) as well as to sign an agreement to care for the pet with a commitment to return them to us if you can't continue to do so.
