Our dogs are our best friends. What better way to show you care than by learning the skills you will need to help them in an emergency?
In partnership with Dog First Aid Herts & Beds, we are running our own doggie first aid course to raise funds for our charity.
Taking place on Saturday 2nd April, the lovely Louise will teach us the essentials of caring for a dog in a range of circumstances, including emergency situations.
As well as learning about how to conduct a full body exam and taking our dogs' vitals, we'll be covering CPR, seizures, canine shock, dog fights, burns and scalds, eye injuries, heat stroke, choking and road traffic accidents.
At the end of the day, you'll be taking away a set of very important skills and an official certificate.
The course costs £55 per person (plus £4.88 Eventbrite booking fee) and as numbers will be limited, we recommend securing your places as soon as possible.
You can choose between the morning course (09:30-12:30) or the afternoon course (14:00-18:00).
You won't need to bring anything other than yourself, as well as a pen and paper if you'd like to make notes (course booklets will be provided too). Tea and coffee will be available, and please leave your four-legged friends at home today. You'll have the chance to practice your newly-acquired skills on Cassie the dummy dog.
