Slowly But Surely She’s Learning to Love 🤗💖
Kylie, a sweet little black and white Jack Russell Terrier, came into our care recently due to a change in her owner’s circumstances. She arrived with her sister, Sheila, and she is just two years old.
When Kylie and Sheila arrived they were understandably very timid, as everything was unfamiliar and a little frightening. At first they would creep forward to say hello, with their tails wagging, but they weren’t quite brave enough for cuddles straight away. Kylie has taken a little longer than Sheila to find her confidence. Recently she climbed onto the sofa next to her sister and allowed herself to be stroked for the very first time. This little dog, who had been so afraid, was finally beginning to believe that kindness was real.
They have just started to go out for walks and they love being out and about and having a really good sniff. They walk beautifully on the lead and despite being a little timid, they are not worried about traffic going by. They are not reactive to other dogs, so could certainly live with another similar sized dog in their new home.
Whilst they can be rehomed separately, the bond between Kylie and Sheila is something truly special. We would love nothing more than to find a home willing to take them both, which would mean the world to this adorable pair who have only ever had each other. As they are quite timid girls, we will be looking for a quiet adult only home for them.

ADOPTION PROCESS
We have a number of animals in our care. Most are homeless through no fault of their own and are looking for furever homes and owners who can give them the love and attention they deserve.
Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with our adoption process:
Step 1:
The animal is admitted into our care, and assessed by our team.
Step 2:
The animal is examined by a vet, who treats any ailments or injuries.
Step 3:
The appropriate team leader will liaise with the potential adopter to get to know them and assess whether they are a potential purr-fect match.
Step 4:
The potential new owners meet the animal, and decide if they want to adopt. New owners may be asked to visit the animal several times before the adoption takes place.
Step 5:
A pre-adoption home visit will then be made to new owners home to meet the members of the household and to ensure that the environment is safe.
Step 6:
If the visit goes well, you will be asked to collect the animal and to make an adoption donation (amount on request) as well as to sign an agreement to care for the pet with a commitment to return them to us if you can't continue to do so.
