Meet Juno!
Juno was just 12 weeks old when he arrived at RATS as a stray. He had scars all over his head, which are responding well to medicated baths a couple of times a week.
Despite his start in life he is a happy puppy with a placid temperament; he is extremely affectionate and loves to cuddle. He loves toys, his Licki Mat and he will entertain himself for long periods with a tennis ball.
Juno is doing really well in his foster home and is going to puppy classes, where he listens well – probably because he is very motivated by food!! His toilet training is going well too and although he is teething, he is being encouraged to chew other things such as antlers. He is currently being crate trained and will happily sleep in his crate at night and he has also been left for short periods of up to four hours.
Juno is likely to grow up to be quite a big lad and he would suit somebody with bull breed experience. He is getting on well with the other dogs in his foster home. He is also living with guinea pigs and he is learning to ignore them and listen when he is told to leave them alone. He has a natural curiosity, but as he doesn’t haven’t a high prey drive he could potentially live with cats and small furries. He could also live with older children.
Our fosterer says that “Juno is a dopey, goofy character who just wants to be with his humans. Ideally he would suit a family with an active lifestyle, who would love to involve him in their activities”.

ADOPTION PROCESS
We have a number of animals in our care. Most are homeless through no fault of their own and are looking for furever homes and owners who can give them the love and attention they deserve.
Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with our adoption process:
Step 1:
The animal is admitted into our care, and assessed by our team.
Step 2:
The animal is examined by a vet, who treats any ailments or injuries.
Step 3:
The appropriate team leader will liaise with the potential adopter to get to know them and assess whether they are a potential purr-fect match.
Step 4:
The potential new owners meet the animal, and decide if they want to adopt. New owners may be asked to visit the animal several times before the adoption takes place.
Step 5:
A pre-adoption home visit will then be made to new owners home to meet the members of the household and to ensure that the environment is safe.
Step 6:
If the visit goes well, you will be asked to collect the animal and to make an adoption donation (amount on request) as well as to sign an agreement to care for the pet with a commitment to return them to us if you can't continue to do so.
