Meet Jessie!

We believe that Jessie, a very pretty Bull Lurcher, is around three years old, and she is looking for a new home as her current owners are sadly unable to help her with some of her behavioural issues, which seem to stem from anxiety.

Jessie is a huge bundle of energy, who loves haring around the garden and sniffing to her heart's content on long walks. She's very strong and although she walks well on a lead, she can be reactive in busy places, and her high prey drive can take over if she sees wildlife that she'd like to chase.

After a long walk or a session of enrichment games, and at night time, Jessie enjoys curling up on the sofa and snoozing. She's a fearful girl, and she suffers from separation anxiety, so her new owner would need to ensure that she has company all the time, whilst working on her issues with being left alone.

Jessie's previous owners have been working with a behaviorist, who has been helping her to make progress. We would like Jessie's new owner to continue this, as feeling safe, happy and fulfilled doesn't come as easy to Jessie as it might do to other doggies.

Jessie cannot be rehomed with children or other pets, and an owner who has experience with, and understands, Sighthounds is essential.

If you think you can help our beautiful girl to find her Happy Furever After, please get in touch!

If you would like to register your interest in adopting Jessie, please complete your details below and we'll send you a detailed adopter enquiry form by e-mail.

We have a number of animals in our care. Most are homeless through no fault of their own and are looking for furever homes and owners who can give them the love and attention they deserve.

Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with our adoption process:

Step 1:

The animal is admitted into our care, and assessed by our team.

Step 2:

The animal is examined by a vet, who treats any ailments or injuries.

Step 3:

The appropriate team leader will liaise with the potential adopter to get to know them and assess whether they are a potential purr-fect match.

Step 4:

The potential new owners meet the animal, and decide if they want to adopt. New owners may be asked to visit the animal several times before the adoption takes place.

Step 5:

A pre-adoption home visit will then be made to new owners premises to meet the members of the household and to ensure that the environment is safe and right.

Step 6:

If the visit goes well, you will be asked to collect the animal and for an adoption donation (amount on request) and to sign an agreement to care for the pet with a commitment to return them to us if they can't continue to do so.
