Duke
Age: Less than 1 year
Breed: Mastiff Cross
Size: Large
Gender: Male

Meet Duke!
Huge paws and a big gentle heart – this gentle giant is looking for his forever family
Duke, a stunning Mastiff Cross, came into our care recently from the pound. He is less than a year old, so he is still just a puppy. He is a Mastiff Cross and we have all been discussing his possible breed mix; maybe some Cane Corso, or even Great Dane as his paws are huge and he still has some growing to do!
This sweet boy loves everyone he meets and he adores a cuddle. He is fabulous with other dogs and he loves to play in the field with a friend. He’s currently in that endearing teenage phase, where his legs seem too long for his body, which is wonderful to watch.
We are happy that Duke can live with older children who can handle his size and enthusiastic affection. He can also live with dogs of a similar size, but he is untested with cats and small mammals.
Do you have a huge sofa for serious cuddle sessions and room for a big, cuddly, softie? If so, Duke could be the dog for you.

ADOPTION PROCESS
We have a number of animals in our care. Most are homeless through no fault of their own and are looking for furever homes and owners who can give them the love and attention they deserve.
Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with our adoption process:
Step 1:
The animal is admitted into our care, and assessed by our team.
Step 2:
The animal is examined by a vet, who treats any ailments or injuries.
Step 3:
The appropriate team leader will liaise with the potential adopter to get to know them and assess whether they are a potential purr-fect match.
Step 4:
The potential new owners meet the animal, and decide if they want to adopt. New owners may be asked to visit the animal several times before the adoption takes place.
Step 5:
A pre-adoption home visit will then be made to new owners home to meet the members of the household and to ensure that the environment is safe.
Step 6:
If the visit goes well, you will be asked to collect the animal and to make an adoption donation (amount on request) as well as to sign an agreement to care for the pet with a commitment to return them to us if you can't continue to do so.
