Pando (Foster Appeal)
Born: April 2024
Breed: Staffie X
Size: Medium
Gender: Male

Meet Pando!

So that we can bring American Staffie X Pando into our care, we’re looking for a loving and compassionate foster home.

Pando is still just a pup. Born in April 2024, he needs to learn the ropes. We’re looking for an experienced foster family who will help him with basic training so that he’s ready to find his forever home.

He has been assessed by our behaviourist, who reported back that he’s absolutely adorable. He is desperate to learn and please, but he hasn’t had any training yet. He’s bouncy and exuberant so he’ll need a patient foster carer, ideally in a home with older children only (over 12 years old).

Pando is friendly and affectionate, and he could potentially live with calm, similar-sized dogs. We would need to introduce four-legged residents to him first to make sure that everyone is happy to share a home. He cannot be fostered with cats or small furries.

We will provide behavioural support to Pando’s fosterer and there may be some vet visits required, so we’d need his fosterer to potentially be able to drive him to appointments in Royston or Sandy.

Do you have some time to dedicate to helping Pando with his training whilst we find his forever family? Please get in touch!

ADOPTION PROCESS

We have a number of animals in our care. Most are homeless through no fault of their own and are looking for furever homes and owners who can give them the love and attention they deserve.

Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with our adoption process:

Step 1:

The animal is admitted into our care, and assessed by our team.

Step 2:

The animal is examined by a vet, who treats any ailments or injuries.

Step 3:

The appropriate team leader will liaise with the potential adopter to get to know them and assess whether they are a potential purr-fect match.

Step 4:

The potential new owners meet the animal, and decide if they want to adopt. New owners may be asked to visit the animal several times before the adoption takes place.

Step 5:

A pre-adoption home visit will then be made to new owners home to meet the members of the household and to ensure that the environment is safe.

Step 6:

If the visit goes well, you will be asked to collect the animal and to make an adoption donation (amount on request) as well as to sign an agreement to care for the pet with a commitment to return them to us if you can't continue to do so.
