Meet Dizzy!

Young, Lively and Full of Love!

Beautiful lurcher Dizzy originally came into our care as a stray. She was successfully rehomed and was very much loved by her family. Sadly, due to a change in her family’s circumstances, she is back in our care through no fault of her own.

We believe that Dizzy is around 18 months old and we think she may be Greyhound x Saluki, possibly with a touch of Border Collie. She’s full of energy, incredibly affectionate, and loves nothing more than zoomies, cuddles, and playing with her doggy friends.

She’s great with other dogs and she lived happily with a Staffy in her previous home. Dizzy would do best in a home with another young, playful dog to help burn off energy and be her best friend.

Dizzy is house-trained, knows basic commands, and thrives with reward-based training (she’s very food-motivated!). She has a strong prey drive, selective recall, and can jump high fences—so secure outdoor space is essential. She cannot live with cats or small furries.

Dizzy did originally show signs of separation anxiety, but due to the work of her previous owners, this has improved greatly. However, she will need time and patience to adjust in a new home.

She’s bouncy, playful, and best suited to adult-only homes or those with older children.

She loves being near her people (and sleeping on the bed!), and would make a fantastic companion for an active home—especially one interested in agility or canicross.

If you’re looking for a loving, energetic dog with lots of personality and are up for the best cuddles ever, Dizzy could be your perfect match!

ADOPTION PROCESS

We have a number of animals in our care. Most are homeless through no fault of their own and are looking for furever homes and owners who can give them the love and attention they deserve.

Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with our adoption process:

Step 1:

The animal is admitted into our care, and assessed by our team.

Step 2:

The animal is examined by a vet, who treats any ailments or injuries.

Step 3:

The appropriate team leader will liaise with the potential adopter to get to know them and assess whether they are a potential purr-fect match.

Step 4:

The potential new owners meet the animal, and decide if they want to adopt. New owners may be asked to visit the animal several times before the adoption takes place.

Step 5:

A pre-adoption home visit will then be made to new owners home to meet the members of the household and to ensure that the environment is safe.

Step 6:

If the visit goes well, you will be asked to collect the animal and to make an adoption donation (amount on request) as well as to sign an agreement to care for the pet with a commitment to return them to us if you can't continue to do so.
