Meet Belle!

A Gentle Soul Looking for a Second Chance at Happiness 🤗💖

Belle, a beautiful English Bulldog, came into our care recently as a stray. She is eight years old and she is the most placid, friendly girl.

We don’t know anything about Belle’s past, but it is clear that she hasn’t had the best life. She is carrying extra weight and one of her ears is causing her discomfort. We suspect she may have been used for breeding rather than being loved for herself.

Despite everything she has been through, Belle is the most loving girl. She loves her bed and she enjoys cuddles so much that she will nudge you gently if you dare to stop! It is as though, having gone so long without affection, she’s determined to make up for lost time.

Belle might be a little bigger than she should be, but that doesn’t stop her from happily trotting around the field. We are making sure that she has regular gentle exercise and she is on a low fat diet, so we are sure that she will soon be feeling lighter and a lot more comfortable.

We are looking for a quiet home for Belle where she can finally have the love and happiness that she so deserves. A family with bulldog experience – who understand the snores, the wrinkles, and the occasional health needs that come with this wonderful breed – would be ideal. Belle gets on well with other dogs, and she can live with children too, although older, gentle children who will understand that she needs a calm pace would suit her best.

Could you be the one to finally show Belle how life is meant to be: gentle walks, a comfy bed and lots and lots of love is all this girl is looking for.

ADOPTION PROCESS

We have a number of animals in our care. Most are homeless through no fault of their own and are looking for furever homes and owners who can give them the love and attention they deserve.

Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with our adoption process:

Step 1:

The animal is admitted into our care, and assessed by our team.

Step 2:

The animal is examined by a vet, who treats any ailments or injuries.

Step 3:

The appropriate team leader will liaise with the potential adopter to get to know them and assess whether they are a potential purr-fect match.

Step 4:

The potential new owners meet the animal, and decide if they want to adopt. New owners may be asked to visit the animal several times before the adoption takes place.

Step 5:

A pre-adoption home visit will then be made to new owners home to meet the members of the household and to ensure that the environment is safe.

Step 6:

If the visit goes well, you will be asked to collect the animal and to make an adoption donation (amount on request) as well as to sign an agreement to care for the pet with a commitment to return them to us if you can't continue to do so.
