Animals for Adoption

How you can help us:

The Re-homing Animal Telephone Service receives no official funding, nor does it recieve any money from the Lottery Fund.

This means that we are very much dependent on the generosity of the public:-

INDIVIDUAL DONORS ARE OUR LIFELINE

The cost of running R.A.T.S. is ever increasing and the members of the Committe along with our dedicated band of voluntary helpers do as much fundraising as possible in order to raise the money to help all of the animals in our care.

There are, of course, limits to the amount of time we can dedicate to fundraising as, being volunteers, we have other claims on our time such as jobs and families - and this is why your help and support really counts.

With the present economic climate we are, unfortunately, finding that more and more animals are in need of our help and care these days and all donations given to us are gratefully received - the whole amount being used for the upkeep and benefit of these animals.

There are many ways in which you could help R.A.T.S.: all are simple and all are very important to us.

Extra help is always needed at our fundraising events and dog shows. This includes anything from setting up, holding a stall, helping in the kitchen or manning the door.

HOWEVER, SIMPLY ATTENDING OUR EVENTS ALSO HELPS US TO RE-HOME ANIMALS.

We currently have two local shops: one in Bedford and one in Biggleswade. Both shops depend upon volunteers - who make a valuable commitment to our organisation to help sort and sell items.

Finally if you love dogs another way of helping is to become one of our dog walkers at Highfield Kennels, Hare Street.

Of course not everyone wants or has the time or ability to be hands on in their approch to helping. If this is the case then one of the following options may be better for you:

Donations

Membership

Animal Sponsorship

Make a legacy in your will

Payroll Giving (also know as Give as You Earn)

Donating Shares

Thank you for your continued support.
