There are times in the winter when our hands are frozen and there is snow to clear, we do wonder if we must be slightly crazy to do this, but the rewards our team of small mammals fosterers get, is when we see our animals happy in new forever homes with families who think the world of them, getting all the love and care they deserve, if there is anyone out there thinks they would also like to join our band of foster homes, or help in any way, please contact Zoe or myself. Visits to vets and the fact that we have both provided new sheds for the guinea pigs. At the moment we are in the process of moving them into the sheds for the winter months. They will not go out on the lawn until the spring now unless we have a really warm day, then they will be put out whilst we give there hutches a good clean. Extra bedding in the evenings too. They have a habit of eating the hay and it is not unusual to find they have eaten the majority of their bedding in the morning! I am an early riser, Zoe’s get fed at 8am and late at night, around 10pm in the summer, earlier in the winter if it is cold and need covering over. I am lucky enough to have lighting near the shed which makes life a little easier. All in all, they get plenty of fuss!
