Walking good for man and beast:
If you want to get some fresh air into your lungs and improve your fitness, then why not help out the Rehoming Animals Telephone Service at the same time?
We are currently looking for volunteers to help walk and socialise some of the homelss hounds being looked after at Highfields, our kennels in Hare Street, Buntingford.
The kennels are surrounded by miles of stunning countryside offering good walks for all.

Mandy & Dog Walking Volunteers
Dog walking is a great way to exercise and is ideal for people with a busy lifestyle who would love to have a canine of their own but just don’t have the time or money to take on the full responsibility. Not only is it good for people, but it’s great for the dogs as well. The exercise and interaction with people makes their stay in kennels happier and less stressful and also helps prepare them for eventual rehoming.
RATS is a small charity that relies soley on the support of volunteers and generous donations, and the dog walkers are an invaluable part of the charities operation.
The Kennels address is as follows: Highfields, Hare Street, Nr Buntingford, Hertfordshire SG9 0AD
Could you spare an hour once a week? It doesn't have to be on a regular day, all you need to do is call beforehand. If you are interested and want to find out more about becoming a volunteer then please call Mandy or Walter on 01763 289688 or email: info.rats@gmail.com with your contact details so that we can get back to you.
