~ Details ~
This is an appeal to find Cassie, a new home. She is a Staffie Cross, who at 13 years old is the oldest resident at our Re-homing Centre.
She first came to us at approximately 5 years of age and spent rather a long time in kennels before being adopted, having been seen at one of our annual dog shows. She enjoyed her new life but again misfortune struck as her new owners had to leave their home and were not allowed to have any animals in their new accommodation. They were very upset when they returned Cassie to us.
Now Cassie rules the roost at Highfields, our Re-homing Centre at Hare Street Village and tells all the juveniles off when they misbehave or are too vocal, disturbing her naps! Having coped well with the harsh winter at our Re-homing Centre, we do not want to put her through another cold winter. She loves the heat and on sunny days can be found sunbathing outside in her run.
Cassie is a loving dog and greets people very well. She needs to be re-homed as a single animal in the household and at her age would be better with older children. She is eating well and not at all fussy and appears to be in good health. She still has her playful side, enjoying chasing the ball in our paddock. Not bad for an old girl!
Cassie has seen at least 10 dogs re-homed since arriving back in November 2009. She needs a loving permanent home. Please, please come and meet her and give her a chance to win you over. How could anyone resist that face?
Please note: due to cassies age R.A.T.S will pay for future vet bills.
