The Re-homing Animal Telephone Service (R.A.T.S.) was formed in 1984 by a small group of dedicated animal lovers.
It continues today to be run entirely by volunteers.

About Us
R.A.T.S. - Re-homing Animal Telephone Service - is a registered Animal Welfare Charity operating in the Bedfordshire area. We depend totally on fundraising events and donations from our members and the public to carry out our work of caring for dogs, cats and small mammals who are lost, abandoned or whose owners can no longer care for them.
Aims and Objectives
Our aim is to re-home the animals in our care into loving, secure homes so they can live out the remainder of their lives happily.
Objectives
To care for and protect stray and unwanted animals and place them in good homes.
It is our policy never to have a healthy animal put to sleep. We will not put to sleep any animal unless it is certified to be incurably ill or unmanageably aggressive. Such action will only be taken by our veterinary surgeons humanely and painlessly.
We aspire to acquiring and running a Rescue centre. |
